- Hello Patricia, i saw you perform at the
hlwd bowl last week. my girlfriend
ashleigh was the asst to the director. we
saw you back stage for a moment before you
went on in the second half. i have never
been to the opera before and you were so
inspiring. ashleigh then told me you were
"out" and i felt so proud. that
is why i email you. i want to thank you.
the more of us that act like our life is
"ok" the more the world will
begin to believe that with us. i really
admire you beyond that fantastic voice.
you represent an honesty that we all
struggle with and hopefully begin to live
at some point. thank you patricia. i hope
to see you sing again someday. i represent
photographers so if you ever need anyone
we will work within whatever budget you
have. blessings to you, andrea stern

- I´m sorry, I never heard HER singing
until now. But I had the pleasure to see
her partner Beth Clayton in Munich. And
you have to see her singing and acting
"Medoro" at the Bavarian State
Opera. It´s the must-see of the upcoming
season. Six Dates in January and two in
July. Amazing!
Kristy Hayes
- I sincerely appreciate your honesty and
openness. My partner and I are very
grateful for your outstanding example of
pride and true love. We hope to meet you
in the opera circle someday soon. Thanks
for showing the world an elegant, sweet
and beautiful example of two women sharing
their lives together in love and in
spirit. May you and Beth be forever happy
and in love. Best wishes, Kristy Hayes

- I absolutely adored your performance in
Turandot at the lyric this week. Brava

- Dear Patricia Racette, I JUST saw you
tonight at the Met in Pagliacci. I
personally was so dissapointed in the
performance of Cavalleria Rusticana and
found it lacking energy. Beautiful
singing, but no energy. You DOMINATED the
performance tonight with your shimmering,
gorgeous voice and wonderful
interpretation. I have a new favorite
diva! I study at Manhattan School of Music
for classical voice and I am often
dissapointed with what I see at the Met.
Beautiful sounds without anything REAL
behind it. You made it real for me. Thank
you! Love, A Big Fan

great performance last night (Nov. 3,
2006) at Met in "Pagliacci".
That was my first time going to Opera and
what a first time, it was incredible and
amazing show. What a crystal voice
you’ve got. Thank you so very much for
your autograph it was very kind of you to
take your time to sign one. Looking
forward to see you perform again! Best
wishes, Tina from Bulgaria.

tonight in San Francisco in Madama
Butterfly. Brava. Thank you for your
courage, your artistry and sharing your
talent with us. We were touched.

- Your
interview on Wednesday evening at the LGBT
Center was fantastic. I was the woman who
"looked familiar." I was so
impressed with the fact that you were so
very down to earth and had such a
wonderful sense of humor. It was such a
pleasure meeting you after having seen you
in SF Opera Madama Butterfly 2 weeks ago
(in which i may add, you were
SPECTACULAR!) May you and Beth have a long
and loving life. Thank you for sharing
yourself with all of us. mary nilan

- I had the
honor of seeing you last night in SF in
Madama Butterfly. I have to say that I
must have seen it over 30 times in my
life, and you by far have left a most
lasting impression. It is apparent by your
performance that you love the role as much
as we loved you. Thank you for a memorable
evening.

Dear Ms. Racette I just finished
listening to Pagliacci on the radio and I
had to tell you how much I enjoyed your
portrayal of Nedda. I am a professional
singer myself and I was so impressed by

to the performance was truly thrilling.

had the chance of seeing her twice at the
MET, as Musetta and as Antonia, and I love
the way she sings. Her voice and her
acting are superb and I think she is one
of the most important artists of our
century. Recently I was very impressed
with her Nedda and I am really looking

Bill
Adams - Happy birthday, Pat! [I enjoyed
our chat] following your performance as
Musetta a few months ago. Later I heard
you as Nedda; it measured up to your usual
superior artistry: your pitch, legato, and
diction are always A+; your vibrato is
always alive but never degenerates into a
wobble, I suspect because you let it
fluctuate in intensity, not pitch. I’m
still trying to persuade local artist
series to bring you here [Lexington,
Kentucky] for a solo recital, as I have
been for over 2
years. Don’t give up; I won’t
My brother, who has a computer (I
don’t), has been visiting
recently, and he showed me your file on
the Internet [website]. I thought I had
seen every issue of Opera News for the

saw June 2002. I’ll try to locate a copy
and read every word. God bless you! Your

- Ms.
Racette, Your Violetta at the Bastille is
still making me go weak in the knees. I
saw it three times, the first two on the
TV monitors in the lobby. The show was
sold out, but the security guards were
kind enough to let me and a few other
crazies hang around. The third time I
managed to get a ticket off a scalper two
minutes before curtain (front row, second
balcony!). Paris loves you. Please come
more often.

part of Turandot. Wonderful! I also have a

wall an escapist oasis when things get
frustrating.
